Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient office operations.
Handle administrative tasks including billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries.
Support pediatric patients with care tailored to their needs, ensuring a comfortable experience.
Assist with orthodontic procedures when required, demonstrating kledge of orthodontics.
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and kledge of medical terminology.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is preferred.
Experience in pediatrics is a plus, showcasing the ability to work well with children.
Understanding of orthodontics is beneficial for assisting with specialized procedures.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage appointments effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
