Do you usually get to work a little drunk after a couple of drinks? Probably not, it's rarely a good idea! A small drink may be appropriate in some business contexts, but it would be shooting yourself in the foot if you have to perform tasks that require any mental effort or dexterity. Productivity may take a hit! ;)
But when you don't get enough sleep, that's exactly the kind of performance you can expect.
Did you know that lack of sleep is cumulative and that a deficit of only one to two hours per night for two weeks makes us five times less productive and would be the equivalent of working with a blood alcohol level of 0.1%?
Sleeping more is probably one of the most pleasant ways to improve our efficiency!
